Trail Mix

Last Two Weekends... I have been out of town and on the move! First was a wonderful trip back to Auburn with Brittany. Her first time the the deep south! Ahhhh I loved it! Weekend was filled with food(fried of course), Friends and Auburn Football! Over all a great weekend!




Next was off to Iowa City to watch the Hawkeyes play. Tommy did such a great job in his game and I can't believe how long his hair has got. I think he is going for the Tom Brady look! Oh not to fail to mention that it was FREEZING...All the locals kept saying "Oh this is nothing." AHHHHHHHH I don't know how Tommy does it!

In the past week... Started training for the Nashville 1/2 Marathon in April. Super excited about it. I have recruited a few friends to join...So far we have Molly, Lindsey Sanders, Brittany Olson and me for the girls and Wyatt for the guys. I guess we are going to have to get some more Rangers to step up and RUN! I also turned into that crazy lady who dresses up her pets...oh wait I have always been that person! haha. Ranger and the boys looked so great!!!!!! Rangers reaction to the costumes was priceless...

On Thanksgiving... Well we had a typical Donatell Thanksgiving...Dad had to work so we just hung out and watched football until he got home from work. My contributions to the day was not cooking...I still need to learn how to do that :) but I did set the table and I think I did a fine job if I do say so myself!

But the best part of the day was getting a phone call from Wyatt. He called just before we were going to sit down for dinner. Didn't get to talk for long but he did have time to tell me how they did indeed have turkey on Thanksgiving. I am going to have to find out more about this and report back but something about finding a turkey at a local market and having to remove the feathers and all! Crazy life he lives!

Going Private

I love blogging. It has been such a release and a great way to share with family and friends about this entire deployment process and army life in general. With that being said I feel that it is time to make the blog private. I know… I know I hate when blogs go private so not sure how long I will keep it this way. I guess we will just have to wait and see. If you shoot me an email I will be more than happy to add your email address to the list! Once I add you, an email will be sent and when you accept the blog invite you will be able to read the blog by logging in. I would love for everyone to still keep reading I would just like to practice “safe Internet use.” :)

Down to 2 months time until he gets home! WHOOOO HOOOO!

So I know I have been a little MIA from blog writing but it's not because I have nothing to blog about. The facts are... I have been crazy busy.

So for starters...I AM IN DENVER! Whooo crazy I know, but hey sometimes you just need to be with your mom...and dad...and crazy tall brother...two more dogs(Baxter and Buddy)... and great, I mean GREAT childhood friends (Emily and Brittany)!! Needless to say, I am constantly surrounded by loving family and friends! Just what the doctor ordered!

So what has Denver brought in the two days that I have been here? Well unpacking and the re-hanging of the deployment chain! It's getting shorter! Thank God! It has been pretty cold here in Denver. Which I love! Nothing like slipping into my Uggs and taking all THREE dogs to the dog park! Fyi Ranger and Baxter are getting along soooo well and Buddy well he is so old I am pretty sure that he is happy to have someone else play with Baxter all day!

Mother/Daughter workouts are up and running...well walking right now. You wouldn't believe how much this altitude really will effect you. I will take some pictures tomorrow of our walking trail. It is so beautiful it really makes working out nice and enjoyable.

Tonight should be nice and low key. Dad will head out tomorrow to London to play the 49ers...yeah just found out about this on Monday or I so would have found some way to sneak onto his flight! Steve has his last regular season game tomorrow night. I am extremely excited about getting to see him play. Sad but true, I have never been able to watch him play high school football! I mean look at this stud...
